Welcome to the Gull Meadow Farms Team! We are thrilled to have you come aboard this season! You MUST complete all of these steps prior to your first day of work. Even if you are a returner, you will have to follow most of the steps listed below. So, let's get started!
Step 1: Orientation
If you are a returning employee, please contact Emily.
Step 2: Forms to Be Completed Online Through ADP
We are utilizing ADP for our payroll software this season. Most of the paperwork you are responsible for completing will be done online. Please note what paperwork you will need to fill out to be eligible for employment.

Step 3: Availability Schedule
Step 4: In Person Paperwork
You will need to come to the farm before orientation to pick up the paperwork listed below. Please read the notes listed next to each form.
Michigan New Hire Form - You will need to know your Social Security Number to fill out this form.
Workers Permit (Ages 14-17) - If you're still in school, you must get a new work permit each year. Pick this up at the farm as soon as possible
Form I-9 (All Employees) - Bring either:
- One document from Column A, or
- One document from both Column B and C (See the attached guide for acceptable documents.)
Returning Employees: We will let you know if you need to update any I9 documentation.
Step 5: 7Shifts Scheduling System
We use 7Shifts to manage scheduling and time-off requests. Be on the lookout for an email to sign up—this is how you'll view your schedule for the season.
- New employees: Watch your inbox for a sign-up email.
- Returning employees: You’re already in the system using the same login from last season—no new email will be sent.

Here is another link for some helpful tips if you are new to 7Shifts! It walks you through how to submit a time off request, get signed up, etc.
Important: You do not need to enter your own availability—this is entered for you based on the availability contract you submitted.
